In the first semester of 2024, more than 317,000 Romanians accessed the „Află la ce fond de pensii ești!” (Find out which pension fund you belong to!) app, available on www.asfromania.ro

Bucharest, 26 July 2024 – Over 317,000 Romanians have accessed, in the first semester of 2024, the application „Află la ce fond de pensii ești!” (Find out which pension fund you belong to!), available on the website of the Financial Supervisory Authority (ASF), of which almost 254,000 people have identified the Pillar II pension fund they belong to, a number up by over 45% compared to the same period last year.

In the first semester of 2024, a total of 63,190 people accessed the application „Află la ce fond de pensii ești!” (Find out which pension fund you belong to!) app, but did not identify themselves in the Pillar II system, by age (over 45 years of age).

In the almost eight years of use (August 2016 - June 2024), about 1.4 million people have accessed this application, which has provided consumers in the privately managed pension system - Pillar II with a digitized, transparent, secure in terms of personal data processing, fast and extremely simple to use even for those with minimal knowledge of the internet.

The number of users who have accessed „Află la ce fond de pensii ești!” (Find out which pension fund you belong to!) has grown exponentially in recent years, especially since the possibility was introduced to instantly find out the pension fund you are a member of by simply entering your first name, last name and Personal Identification Number. Thus, if in the first semester of 2020, almost 33,000 Romanians used the app, in the first six months of 2024, the number reached more than 317,000 unique consumers.

According to Romania’s development regions, it was found that the South Region recorded the highest number of unique requests registered in the application „Află la ce fond de pensii ești!” (Find out which pension fund you belong to!). (17.49% of the total unique requests registered in the first semester of 2024), while the West Region was at the opposite pole with 8.37%.

ASF will continue to accelerate the digitization process of its activity, in order to come up with even more solutions to support consumers of non-banking financial services, but also supervised entities.
