Registration opens for the national financial education competition – the ASF Olympiad

Bucharest, 26 February 2024 – The Financial Supervisory Authority (ASF) organizes, in partnership with the National Union of Insurance and Reinsurance Companies in Romania (UNSAR), the third edition of the national financial education competition – the ASF Olympiad, dedicated to all Romanian students in grades VII-IX, respectively X-XII.

Entries for the competition can be made from 26 February to 11 March 2024. The ASF Olympiad is open to any student attending an educational establishment in Romania in the school year 2023-2024, regardless of its type.

The competition will take place online on 23 March 2024 as part of Global Money Week (GMW), an international event dedicated to promoting financial education among children and young people. In this context, the ASF Olympiad aims to actively contribute to raising the level of financial education among young people in Romania. It is important that they have a correct knowledge of the principles and mechanisms of the non-bank financial market, as well as the products and services related to it. At the same time, the ASF Olympiad is also an opportunity to promote schools and high schools that understand the importance of financial education in preparing young people for the future.
