Bucharest, 1 February 2024 – More than 400,000 Romanians accessed the application Află la ce fond de pensii ești!, available on the Financial Supervisory Authority (ASF) website, and identified the Pillar II pension fund in which they are participants. This is double the number recorded the previous year.
Including those who accessed the application but were not identified in the register of participants with managed pension accounts (around 90,700), the total number of people who used the application Află la ce fond de pensii ești! last year exceeds 490,000 people.
In over seven years of use (2016 - 2023), almost 1.1 million people have accessed this application, which has provided consumers in the privately administered pension system - Pillar II with a solution that is digitised, transparent, secure in terms of personal data processing, fast and extremely easy to use even for those with minimal internet skills.
The number of users who have accessed the application Află la ce fond de pensii ești! has grown exponentially in recent years, especially since the introduction of the possibility to instantly find out which pension fund you are a member of by simply entering your first name, surname and Personal Identification Number. Thus, if in 2020, almost 52,500 Romanians used the application, in 2023, the number reached almost 500,000 unique consumers.
According to the development regions of Romania, it was found that the South Region recorded the highest number of unique applications registered in the application Află la ce fond de pensii ești! (17.32% of all unique requests registered in 2023), while the West Region was at the opposite pole, with 9.04%.
ASF will continue to accelerate the digitisation of its activities during 2024 in order to come up with even more solutions to support consumers of non-banking financial services and supervised entities.
