Bucharest, 27 June 2022 - The launch of the "Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) Report on Capital Markets in Romania: Preparing a National Strategy" took place today at an event attended by officials from the Financial Supervisory Authority, the Ministry of Finance, the OECD and the European Commission's Directorate-General for Structural Reform Support.
The project was carried out with technical support from the European Commission's Directorate-General for Structural Reforms and funded through the European Union's Structural Reform Support Programme.
Following an in-depth analysis of the Romanian capital market, this report proposes a set of recommendations that focus on improving the institutional, legal and regulatory framework in order to exploit the opportunities for the development of the domestic market.
The Financial Supervisory Authority is working with the Ministry of Finance on the project "National Strategy for the Capital Market", financed by European funds, with the Organisation for Economic Cooperation and Development as consultant.
