The Financial Supervisory Authority (ASF) and the Institute of Financial Studies (IFS) organized the second edition of the Be ProFIN! contest within the Start2Teach educational program

 

Bucharest, 28 May 2021 – The Financial Supervisory Authority (ASF) and the Institute of Financial Studies (IFS) organized, in the school year 2020-2021, the second edition of the Be ProFIN! contest within the Start2Teach educational program, dedicated to teachers, in order to promote financial education in pre-university education.

The contest consisted in the elaboration, by teachers, of some lesson plans with the theme Relationship of consumers with non-banking financial institutions - Insurance products and services, in order to support an hour of financial education in the subject Economic-financial education for the 8th grade, approved by the Order of the Minister of National Education.

A jury composed of representatives of FSA and IFS awarded a tablet to the best 10 lesson plans submitted in the contest. The winning teachers of the current edition are: Mirela Giurgică (Economic Administrative High School, Iași), Nicoleta Mădălina Budu (“Virgil Madgearu” Economic Technological High School, Iași), Gherghina Maria Putnic (with two award-winning lesson plans - “Atanasie Cojocaru” Secondary School, Pojejena, Caraș Severin), Elena Daniela Dobromirescu (Mătăsari Technical High School, Gorj), Alin Dobromirescu (Mătăsari Technical High School, Gorj), Marusia Amalia Brabete (Secondary School no. 1, Oțelu Roșu, Caraș Severin), Ildiko Lina Magyari (Secondary School, Ogra, Mureș), Elena Roxana Vișan (“Mihai Eminescu” Secondary School, Bradu - Argeș) and Ștefana Vasile (Secondary School no. 2, Crețești - Vidra, Ilfov).
