Warning regarding phishing attempts using the ASF identity

Bucharest, 10 October 2025 - The Financial Supervisory Authority (ASF) would like to point out that the only official communications from the institution are sent exclusively from our official domain – @asfromania.ro.

ASF emphasizes that any email received from other domains, such as @asfromania.com, @asfromania.net, @asfromania.org, or similar, does not originate from ASF and should be treated with extreme caution.

The Authority warns of possible phishing attempts that fraudulently use the name and visual identity of the institution. These messages aim to mislead users and collect personal or financial data without authorization, using methods that mimic official ASF communications.

For the protection of personal data and information, we recommend that all users:

• check the sender's full address before opening the message;
• not to access links or download attachments from unknown sources;
• contact us directly through the ASF Call Center at 08.008.256.27 or by email at office@asfromania.ro if they receive suspicious messages or have doubts about the authenticity of a communication.

ASF takes the protection of personal data and the security of online communications very seriously, constantly monitoring the digital environment to prevent and combat attempts at electronic fraud.
