Decisions adopted by the Board of the Financial Supervisory Authority

Bucharest, 26 July 2023 – At today's meeting, the Council of the Financial Supervisory Authority (ASF) adopted measures on the functioning of the supervised non-bank financial markets - insurance, capital market and private pensions, as follows:

A)  Regulation

Draft Regulation amending Art. 13 para. (12) of the ASF Regulation no. 20/2017 on motor insurance in Romania (the draft will be published on www.asfromania.ro for public consultation for 10 days);

ESMA notification on the intention to apply four ESMA Guidelines issued under mandates pursuant to Regulation (EU) 2021/23 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 16 December 2020 on a framework for the recovery and resolution of central counterparties (CCPs);

Instruction to amend Annex no. 1 to the Financial Supervision Authority Instruction no. 2/2016 on the preparation and submission of half-yearly accounting reports by entities authorised, regulated and supervised by the Financial Supervision Authority - Financial Instruments and Investments Sector, as well as by the Investor Compensation Fund (the instruction will be sent for publication to the Official Journal of Romania).

B)  Authorisation

Approval of Mr. Paul-Corneliu Cazacu for a new mandate as Chairman of the Board of Directors of UNIQA Asigurări S.A.;

Approval of Ms. Anita-Laura Nițulescu for a new mandate as General Manager of Eurolife FFH Asigurări de Viață S.A.;

Approval of Mr. Marcel Pîrciog for a new mandate as General Manager of Asito Kapital S.A.;

Approval of the application for approval of the amendment of the Individual Membership Deed of the Privately Managed Pension Fund BCR, managed by BCR Pensii Societate de Administrare a Fondurilor de Pensii Private S.A.;

Approval of the application for approval of the amendment to the Individual Membership Deed of the Privately Managed Pension Fund Metropolitan Life, managed by Metropolitan Life Societate de Administrare a unui Fond de Pensii Administrat Privat S.A.;

Approval of the application for approval of the amendment of the Individual Membership Deed to the Privately Managed Pension Fund NN, managed by NN Pensii Societate de Administrare a unui Fond de Pensii Administrat Privat S.A.
