ASF has decided to reduce by 25% all contributions due by the regulated entities, during the establishment of the state of emergency generated by the spread of COVID-19

Bucharest, 24.03.2020 - The Board of the Financial Supervisory Authority (ASF) decided, at its meeting on March 24, 2020, to amend Regulation no. 16/2014 regarding the revenues of the Authority, in the sense of reducing by 25% of all taxes, fees and commissions due by the entities regulated and supervised by the Authority.

The decision will be applied from April 1, 2020 and will be maintained until the state of emergency ceases. This measure is intended to support the non-bank financial services industry in general and entities facing economic difficulties due to the situation generated by the spread of COVID-19, in particular.

 By adopting the amendments to Regulation 16/2014, the premises are created that the entities operating in the three financial markets supervised by the ASF maintain an adequate level of liquidity and can direct their financial resources towards the basic activities.
