Over 1,000 students attend ASF's financial education seminars



Bucharest, November 28th, 2019 – FSA has organized, from the beginning of this academic year (October - November 2019), a series of events dedicated to financial education in 12 universities from: Cluj-Napoca, Iași, Timișoara, Târgu Mureș, Craiova, Oradea, Constanța, Bacău, Galați and Bucharest.

The Academic Laboratories, FSA events dedicated to financial education in the academic world, offered the opportunity to Authority's lectors to encounter the students from "Babeș Bolyai" University of Cluj-Napoca, "Alexandru Ioan Cuza" University and "Gheorghe Asachi" Technical University of Iași, West University of Timisoara, "George Emil Palade" University of Medicine and Pharmacy of Târgu Mureş, University of Craiova, University of Oradea, "Ovidius" University of Constanta, "Vasile Alecsandri" University of Bacau, "Danubius" University of Galați, Romanian-American University and the National School of Political and Administrative Studies in Bucharest.

On these occasions, the mechanisms and operating principles of the non-banking financial markets were presented and debated in interactive discussions. From the interactions with the students, it emerged that there is a high interest among them on the topics and subjects regarding the non-banking financial markets.

The students, especially those from the faculties with economic profile, have discussed also with ASF representatives about the ways in which the information obtained during the faculty can be used optimally in the professional career, in the financial market.

More than 1,000 students participated in the workshops offered by ASF lectors in the universities from the ten cities.

Financial education is an essential component of the process of protecting the rights and interests of consumers and is one of the strategic courses of action of the ASF.
